Psychology at Clarion

The Psychology Department at Clarion University offers 3 degree programs to 250 undergraduate majors. In addition, the department provides extensive support for the general education of students seeking degrees in other majors.

Frank L. Harvey Hall Frank L. Harvey Hall, the former gymnasium at Clarion University, was constructed in 1931. In 1995 the University Facilities Committee approved a plan to remodel Harvey Hall. The remodeling should be completed within the next three years. Once remodeled, Harvey Hall will be the home for the Psychology Department and the Women's Studies program. Presently, the department office is located in Becht Hall, classrooms are scattered between Pierce Science Center, Carlson Library, and Harvey Hall, and faculty offices are located in Becht and Harvey Hall.

New Psychology Department WWW Server.

The Psychology Department purchased a new WWW in 1996. The server, located in Becht Hall and set up by Dr. Potter, houses the Department's new, "official" home page, faculty pages, and student pages. Take a peek.

The NSF Computer Lab

The server you are connected to is in our Macintosh Lab located in the basement of Harvey Hall. The computers were provided by a National Science Foundation grant to the Psychology Department.

Our Mac Lab has 8 PowerBase 180 computers, 6 UMax C500 Mac clones, 4 Performa 578's, 4 Mac LC IIIs, three laser printers, several inkjet printers, and several cameras.

Student assistants are available to help you learn to use our software (primarily ClarisWorks, Netscape, DeltaGraph, and SchoolStat).
